Who we are
North East England House Clearance is part of the 5 Star House Clearance group. We are a local team with a fleet of vans covering Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Darlington and Teesside. People call us when they need a property emptied, often at a difficult time, and our job is to make that as easy as possible.
Our approach
Respect
Many of the homes we clear belong to someone who has died, or to a family member who has moved into care. We treat every property, and every item in it, with respect. We take time to set aside paperwork, photos, valuables and keepsakes, and we never rush people who want to look through things first.
Transparency
You will get a free, no-obligation quote before anything is agreed. Our pricing covers staff wages, fuel and recycling-centre fees, and we explain it plainly on our pricing page. We do not hide extras, and if something changes on the day we will talk to you first.
Recycling and donation
We sort everything. Usable items are donated to charity or reused, metals and other materials are recycled, and the rest goes to licensed recycling centres and waste facilities. The team and our vans
Our teams are friendly, practical and used to working in all kinds of properties, from tidy flats to homes that have become overwhelming. Each of our vans holds about 1.5 tonnes, roughly the same as four 8-yard builder's skips, so most jobs can be done efficiently in one or two loads. We aim to arrive at 9am and keep you informed throughout.
Supporting charities
We donate usable items to charities including Children North East, Barnardo's, St Oswald's Hospice, Butterwick Hospice, the British Heart Foundation and Mind. Learn more on our charities page.
